Since spring of this year, the tiny doll, the hands, and the eye glasses have been set aside waiting, and waiting...and waiting. I don't know how many times I picked up the set thinking that I would work on it, only to find a "resistance" so I would set them back. This week I finally found the perfect "background" -- the Madonna and Child and the piece finally came together. I wanted to suggest a spiritual quality without being overly religious.
