Sometimes Too Much is Just Too Much

After sorting through a new stack of old National Geographic magazines, I had a significant pile of images to sort and trim. It seemed that my eyes were attracted to a rather disproportionate stack of images ranging in golden hues from brilliant yellows to creamy browns.  After filing I found my desk still piled with SO many pieces it was just too much.

I ended up laying out three different assemblages of images in these same colors but ended walking away -- deciding to work in the forest gardens instead. Interesting how just that change of venue allow my unconscious process to do it's own magic. While I still have 4-5 piles of images, I was finally able to narrow some down to create this -- "Golden Daze.
